Evgenia Medvedeva: This program was choreographed by the team of Eteri Georgievna Tutberidze – in particular by Daniil Markovich Gleikhengauz and Eteri Georgievna. For seven years I dreamed of skating Carmen.
There will be another interesting program at the show dedicated to Tatiana Anatolievna Tarasova’s anniversary. It will be something new.
There is a completely different atmosphere everywhere, but Megasport is a special arena for me. Two years ago, here was my final performance, if we count full-fledged ones, without taking into account the failed Russian Nationals.
To be honest, I was going on this triple salchow now with a complete feeling that I was at the Grand Prix. I got nervous, my legs were shacking. Scary.
What distinguishes the Tutberidze’s show? Just like the other shows. There is a lot of love here, people enjoy skating without drama. Everyone welcomes their stars as warmly as possible, and that’s great. It seems to me that the shows were created for this – for the love of sports, love for your favorite athletes, for beautiful dresses.
Season? We will probably talk only about the positive. It became difficult for all athletes, but made them stronger. But all the people who go on the ice today, they are absolute heroes. Show their maximum even here. All these guys and girls are very strong people.
Evgenia also spoke about strip plastic classes, which Alexandra Trusova also does.
Evgenia Medvedeva: It is very strange to draw parallels between Sasha’s classes and mine and vice versa. We didn’t conspire at all. It is clear that all figure skating fans have a desire to find some kind of conspiracy, a plan, but there was none. We do it for ourselves. Will there be a joint dance? Honestly, I do not know. We should probably first learn how to dance in this style, like real dancers.

I remember reading an article when she was training in Canada with Brian, she said she felt happier to finally be able to skate to music she picked out (or had a say in), and to wear skating dresses she wanted to wear. Fast forward to 2022, and it appears she’s a part of the Eteri propaganda machine.
A bit heavy and slow. But as long as Evgenia enjoys it and the public loves it it works. Not much else the Russian athletes can do at the moment but the internal shows..
I don’t understand why she would still want to do Carmen. Alina’s was relatively recent and iconic. This is….ok
carmen is for zagitova, you will never reach her level, you wish you were as rich as her.
