Earlier, a source familiar with the situation told RIA Novosti that the Channel One Cup will be held in Saransk on the 20th of March. The World Championships will be held in French Montpellier on March 23-26.

Alexander Gorshkov: The Channel One Cup will be held in Saransk, the dates are the same week as the World Championships. Only the World Championships will start a day earlier. Is it a coincidence or not? I’ll leave for you to guess.

Earlier, the International Skating Union (ISU), against the backdrop of events in Ukraine, banned athletes from Russia and Belarus from competitions under its auspices, including World Figure Skating Championships in Montpellier.

keep it up russian sportsmen and stay away from politics! those full of hate are only being massivly influenced ! but they do not care about atrocities or civilians. other wise they would also raised their voice for the somalians and the syrians and the yemenies who are also being bombed these days . But not a single word, becasuse that is going against the official tide, they are mediocre cowards and hipocrytes that dont deserve a second of your attention

Open your eyes good citizens of Russia! The elite who make comments in these times have the access to more than the stories (fairy tales) told to the people of Russia by their government and are shameful for putting heads in the sand. Putin commits atrocities in your name and who cares about a skating show in these times? As for skating itself spinning more times in the air (with the help of much prerotations by the way) is less important, impressive, and beautiful than watching skaters who are not doped and abused

  6. Goodnewssss says:

I’ll watch the Saransk event because Montpellier will be 2nd rate without the Russian athletes.

  7. Taisiya Zaitseva says:

Who cares since we don’t know who is doped and who isn’t. I’ll watch the real World Championships in Italy.

I suspect many of the Russian coaches and officials who have been speaking out negatively are only doing so because they’re afraid of Put*n.

    Save Ukraine!
