I’m always excited about Satoko’s new program because she’s a great performer, one of the best in the world now, who is very attentive to details and whose choreography and movements are always polished almost to perfection. So what can I say about this short program?

First of all, I need to say that I’m surprised. I didn’t expect to see Satoko doing such a different style, not her usual classic, lyrical, a bit romantic skating. Especially I didn’t expect her doing such confident and sexy and kind of program. With a lot of new moves for Satoko, with different kind of self-presentation on the ice. And I like it. I like when skaters go out of their comfort zone, take a risk and try something new. It doesn’t always work out, but I always appreciate the effort.

As for Satoko, I even more surprised to see that she actually looks good in this kind of style! She feels it, the moves looks natural. I really liked the first part of the program. The second looks rough, the step sequence require polishing and work. But in case with Miyahara you can be sure that this work will be done and I’m looking forward to see the development of this program! Oh and I think trousers/jumpsuit will be a good idea for the costume)

Satoko is my favorite skater right now and I’m never disappointed with her programs. As you said, her step sequence needs work, she doesn’t look comfortable and some turns are a little rushed. But I’m sure that it will look wonderful as the season will go on!

I think it’s still a bit hard for her, new moves, new nature of movements, new rhythm and tempo. But she’s a hard worker and I’m sure she will work on that.

Great to hear your thoughts! I wasn’t really sure about them at first, but I think she will figure out a way to make them good. As you said, the programs still need some work, but I think they will be polished up by the time the season starts.

I really think this program has a lot of potential. It’s just a bit unusual to see Satoko in such a different style. But I believe in her)
