Tatiana Tarasova: Two of our very strong single skaters performed and I enjoyed these competitions

Short comment from Tatiana Tarasova about Evgenia Medvedeva’s and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva’s performances at the Russian Cup Final 2019.

Tatiana Tarasova: I’m not a judge or someone’s fan, I have nothing to do with the trainings of either of them. Two of our very strong single skaters performed and I enjoyed these competitions. I will not discuss judges’ scores, they did it right putting Liza ahead in the free program. But yesterday, unfortunately, she didn’t make the triple axel in the short program, and she cannot compete without this element.

In the short program Zhenya won 4.5 points, today she lost three. Zhenya, of course, became stronger, I saw her here at practices and at the warm-ups, and she did fail a single combination salchow-loop. She is ready to do it, just like for Liza and Alina, this element is among difficult for her, so she can fail it doing for the fist time.
