Anna Pogorilaya: I missed the week of trainings due to old injury
Unfortunately we haven’t seen Anna Pogorilaya at the test skates, so I think a little update on her will be useful.
About withdrawal from open part of the test skates:
A week before Sochi I haven’t skated at all, at the training camp (in Sochi) I did jumps, but didn’t perform on public not because I wasn’t ready, but simply because I missed the week of trainings due to old injury. Another girl and I crashed into each other at the skating rink. The shape has gone a little, but I’m already recovering.
About other skaters:
They all did well, everyone is in working shape. In Sochi, I watched the test skates from the stands, I did not want to sunbathe at the beach. It was also curious to look at pairs, dance and guys with their quads. – Anna said
Plans:
My coach and I consider an option to participate in the second stage of Russian Cup. Grand Prix in Canada is at the end of October, it is necessary to start somewhere (before it), maybe more than once. – Pogorilaya said, adding that otherwise she and her coach Anna Tsareva can arrange a skates at the (home) ice rink.
At least we have a couple of photos by Mihail Sharov:
About preparation for the season and new programs:
We were preparing for a new season in summer. There were several injuries, we overcame them. However, one of the injuries prevented a little to prepare for the test skates. But I’m already recovering and will continue to work. My short program – Spain. The free program, surprisingly, “Swan Lake”.
Pasquale Camerlengo did the short program, I went to see him in Detroit, got a tremendous experience, tremendous emotions from working with him. After that, I had two shows in Japan. In a break between them I managed to fly to Moscow and do my free program with Nikolai Morozov, he has already done many programs to the music from this ballet, and he has a lot of experience. So I have a fighting mindset. I’m already recovering and skating. – Anna said
