Tatiana Tarasova spoke out strongly against the suspension of Russian skaters. Here’s a translation of her comment.

Previously, the International Skating Union (ISU) stated that the timing for a decision on allowing Russian juniors to compete is still undetermined.

“Uncertainty before the new season? We have no strength left to wait for their decisions. There are no words to describe the actions of the ISU. They’re simply wiping their feet on our juniors and seniors.

An entire generation of the most talented skaters has never even competed internationally. What’s stopping them from allowing the children? It’s some kind of vile robbery,” Tarasova said.

Russian skaters have been suspended from ISU tournaments since 2022. The only exception was the Olympic qualification, where Adeliia Petrosian and Petr Gumennik were allowed to participate under neutral status.
