Yuna Aoki (24) updated her Instagram on the 5th to announce that she will continue competing next season. Here’s a translation of her comments.

“Thank you always for your support. I’ve decided to continue competing next season. I will work hard to further refine my skating and deliver even better performances. Thank you for your continued support!”

Aoki, 24, is from Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. She won the All-Japan Novice Championships A in 2014, but suffered a setback after fracturing her left ankle in her third year at Yokohama Seifu High School in 2019. However, she made a comeback after transferring to MF Academy in 2022. Since 2023, she has competed in the Grand Prix (GP) series for three consecutive years, and made a leap forward by finishing fifth at the 2025 Nationals. In January of this year, she won the Four Continents Championships on her debut, beating out Milan-Cortina Olympic representatives Ami Nakai and Mone Chiba.
