Aleksandra Boikova and Dmitrii Kozlovskii reflected on their 2025/26 season, calling it one of the most successful and challenging of their careers, and discussed their future plans and the difficulties of executing ultra-C elements Here’s a translation.

Boikova: We’re glad it’s finally over, because the season was long and tough. But it went well for us. Not brilliantly, but well— – e’re generally satisfied. And as always, there’s room for improvement.

Kozlovskii: This is one of the most successful seasons in our career, but also one of the hardest. We put a lot of effort into the Russian Nationals. The Grand Prix Final was just as tough. We’re very happy to have won and to have delivered a good performance. If you exclude the quad throw, you could say we did excellently. I’m very proud of Sasha. Now we’ll gradually start to rest.

Q: What will happen with this program?

Kozlovskii: I think we’ll have new programs next season, but I don’t rule out bringing this one back someday. It’s Olympic-level – a really cool program, one of the best in our career.

Q: What about the quad throw? Why does it sometimes work and sometimes not?

Kozlovskii: If I were a girl and someone told me to go into pairs skating, I think I’d just shake hands and walk away. What Sasha does deserves respect. I can assure you, we’ll keep doing it next season.”

Boikova: Ultra-C elements can’t be 100% consistent; they’re a whole different level of element. Both partners have to match in tempo and mindset. Today, I was just a little short on boldness, but I know where that comes from – it creeps in from doubts during training.
