Wakaba Higuchi expressed heartfelt gratitude to her supporters and satisfaction with her performance, despite not making the Olympic team. Here’a translation.
On her Instagram, Wakaba posted:
“Thank you so, so much – truly, thank you for all the support. This became an unforgettable competition for me.
It’s not easy to finish with both a performance and a result that I’m fully satisfied with, but I am happy with both my skating and my results this time. I won’t be able to stand on the grand stage of the Olympics, but I practiced and competed for myself, always with the mindset that if I did everything I could and it still wasn’t enough, I would accept that reality. I feel very at peace.
For now – if I may, I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone who supported me.
Thank you so much for all your support!”
