Eteri Tutberidze has arrived in Beijing to take part in the Olympic qualifying tournament, representing the Georgian team. Here’s a translation.

The qualification event for the 2026 Winter Olympics is being held in Beijing from September 19 to 21, with one of Tutberidze’s students, Adeliia Petrosian, set to compete. Previously, the ISU (International Skating Union) denied access to Daniil Gleikhengauz, choreographer and a key member of Tutberidze’s coaching team, barring him from attending the event.
Tutberidze arrived in the Chinese capital on Wednesday morning, Beijing time. At present, it remains unclear under whose name she is officially listed as a coach in the tournament’s documentation. However, ISU regulations do not prohibit an accredited coach from being present near any athlete during their performance.
