Anna Shcherbakova spoke about invitations to train other national teams and her return to the ice. Here’s a translation of her comments.
“Have I considered becoming a coach? I’ve received quite a few offers from our own and other teams but I’m not yet ready to embark on a coaching career. I conduct training camps or masterclasses. This year, I was in Turkey and France, and now I am about to go to China. So, there is a coaching aspect, but it’s not full-scale yet, this is enough for now,” said Shcherbakova.
Shcherbakova has not competed since 2022. In the upcoming season, she plans to work “in various roles.” “Who will I support? I won’t single out any favorites, but I will be involved in the competitions, working in various roles, participating in different capacities,” the skater noted.
Anna also described her return to the ice as “not very relevant.” “This spring, I had three surgeries on my ankle. I think my return is not a very relevant issue,” said the Olympic champion in figure skating.
