Marin Honda and Shoma Uno revealed a bit about their private lives, favorite food, bad habits and how they relax. Here’s a translation.

Q: What’s your relaxation time like?

Shoma Uno: I’ve always been into skating and playing video games since my active days. Previously, playing games was more of a stress-builder rather than relief because I got so into it. But now, I think I can relax while playing.

Marin Honda: I’ve always loved eating. During my active career, I had to be mindful of maintaining my physique, so I ate “junk food” for the first time after retiring (laughs). Even now, I’m careful, but the time I spend eating what I like is incredibly happy.

Q: Speaking of junk food, what are your “power foods” that energize you or any food trends you’re currently into?

Shoma Uno: I really like meat, but recently I’ve been into ice cream as well, often going for ice cream. I like chocolate flavors. Not into chocolate mint though (laughs). But, I like pretty much everything.

Marin Honda: When I was little, the first time I tasted crab miso, it was so delicious that it left a lasting impression on me. Crab miso isn’t something you get to eat often, but I had it again recently after about six years, and it reminded me of its delicious taste.

Q: Could you tell us about a “bad habit” you’d like to fix?

Shoma Uno: Not being able to think of one might itself be a bad habit…

Marin Honda: Can I say something on behalf of Shoma? He mentioned that he started doing push-ups for his role as Luffy recently… At first, he could only do about 10, but he definitely was drinking protein shakes (laughs).

Shoma Uno: The protein was used up faster. It just became calorie intake (laughs).

Marin Honda: You should try for 100 (laughs).

Shoma Uno: I can only do about 50 so far… but I’ll keep trying until the show.

Q: And how about you, Ms. Honda?

Marin Honda: I need to set about 10 alarms to wake up… I set them 1-2 minutes apart, and change the sound for the last one to signal, “You’re going to be late!” I dream a lot in those 1-2 minutes between alarms, and actually, I really like that. So far I haven’t been late, but I think it’s getting risky… (smile).

Shoma Uno: Listening to you reminded me, my bad habit is oversleeping and being late. Recently, I’ve started oversleeping a lot…

Marin Honda: When was the time you felt it was the worst?

Shoma Uno: My manager usually calls me, and that wakes me up. I wasn’t oversleeping much before, but recently it’s been happening a lot. I really think it’s bad and I want to fix it.”
