Chaeyeon Kim, 2024 Worlds bronze medalist, announced her programs for the 2024/2025 season. Here’s a translation of her comments.
All That Sports, Chaeyeon Kim’s management company, revealed the music for her new programs. For 2024/2025 season Chaeyeon Kim has chosen the OST from the movie ‘Tron: Legacy’ for the short program. The choreography is by Benoit Richaud. The music for the free program is ‘Whispers from the Heart’ composed by Karl Hugo and arranged by Hugo Chouinard, choreography by Shin Yea-ji.
Regarding her short program, Chaeyeon Kim said, “The music was chosen based on the recommendation of choreographer Benoit Richaud. It’s an electronic genre I have not yet tried. The choreographed movements synced with the narration in the middle of the program are key points, and I want to show a new aspect of myself through this program.”
As for her free program, she said “‘Whispers from the Heart’ is special music composed for me by composer Hugo. It’s a hopeful yet sad and poignant piece. Through hardships, it narrates my journey of growing stronger and finding myself. I want to convey this story to the audience.”
As for her goals for the season, she added, “As this is my second full season competing at the senior level, I am working hard to show more mature expressiveness and enhanced technical quality. My goal for the season is to perform well in the ISU Four Continents Championships held in our country and the 2025 Harbin Asian Games.”
