Lindsay van Zundert who represented Netherlans announced about retirement from competitive sport. She made a post on her Instagram page. Here’s a translation.

“Dear everyone,

I have given this a lot of thought before making my decision, but I feel this choice is the best one. I have put a beautiful end to my career as an Olympic athlete! Following the passing of Joan Haanappel and Sjoukje Dijkstra, along with other private circumstances, I do not see myself coming back to the desired level on the ice. Of course, I look back on fantastic moments. At the Beijing 2022 games, my dream, and that of Joan and Sjoukje, to participate in the Olympic Games came true. I was the flag bearer for the Netherlands! I have dreamed of this since I was a little girl, but I could not have achieved it without the support of my family. My profound gratitude goes to my coaches Carine Herrygers and Thomas Kennes and all the other coaches I have worked with. To my choreographer, Benoit Richaud, to the members of the Stichting Kunstrijden Nederland, especially Joan Haanappel, Sjoukje Dijkstra, and Mary Dotsch, and all the donors. NOC NSF, TeamNL, and KNSB. The Municipality of Etten-Leur for the fantastic celebrations at the sports galas. Lastly, I want to thank all the people and organizations that have supported me in any way and believed in me. My great passion for the sport remains in my heart, and I will continue my career as a skating coach for young talents. I will start the KNSB training program in October, for which I thank Remy de Wit. With this, I hope that the dream of Joan and Sjoukje will continue to live on, and I aim to share my experiences to once again reach the Olympic dream with one or more Dutch figure skaters. Moreover, I look forward to a future collaboration with SKN. “
