Lee Haein, who is under suspicion of sexual assault of a junior and drinking alcohol, has rebuked the allegations of sexual assault.
Her drinking during the national figure skating training in Barrese, Italy last month was discovered, which led her to be handed over to the Sports Fair Committee of the Korea Skating Union. The union acknowledged not only the fact she drank alcohol during the investigation period, but also the occurrence of a sexual assault, and imposed a three-year qualification suspension as a heavy punishment. However, Lee Haein has denied the latter.

I thought our actions were just jokes or expressions of affection between lovers, I never imagined it would lead to such a misunderstanding, even though we couldn’t reveal that we were dating.
I’ve received generous expectations and love since I was young, and I’m truly sorry for showing such a lack of consideration.
Regardless of the punishment that will be imposed by the Korean Sports Association, I deeply regret and will strive not to make such a mistake in the future.”
Rhe legal representative of Lee Haein, explained, “The player deeply regrets and repents for her drinking alcohol. However, the federation misunderstood the facts as they didn’t know the two individuals were in a relationship. We have applied for a re-examination with the Fair Committee, and we plan to provide a full explanation regarding the sexual harassment claims.”
