Vivien Papp who announced a change of sporting citizenship in September 2022 due to the significant influence of Russian sports officials on the Hungarian federation, has once again decided to represent Hungary in international competitions following a change in the federation’s leadership.
On her Instagram Vivien posted photos from a training camp in Japan with a caption:
“Thank you for this amazing camp. It was unbelievably to have this big opportunity to train 3 weeks in Japan. Thank you Skating School of Switzerland.”
Then answering the question in the comments ‘Does this mean that we can see you compete in Hungarian colors again?’ Vivien posted, ‘Yes, looks like Hungarians are important to them. I listened to the anthem a few times at the top of the podium, so I am truly happy as a Hungarian!’
