At the 2023 Loena won the bronze medal

Loena Hendrickx: It was such a stupid mistake on the lutz, the take off was fine, but then I clasped my hands awkwardly and couldn’t jump normally. I don’t actually remember this happening before. And I’m happy with everything else.

I’m actually happy that I coped. The preparation for the World Championships was a little crumpled; I could not pull myself together. But the main thing is that I skate with pleasure again, as if I fell in love with skating and competing again. There was a period when I lost this feeling. And it was so great to smile again and feel happy at the end of the program. 

I am a perfectionist and would have reproached myself for a mistake before, but now I know that there are more important things, I went through a difficult time for myself.
