Now it’s time to discuss free program. There were a lot of nice dresses, but not very memorable. So here’s my list of dresses I liked most.
Bradie Tennell
Cinderella must wear blue, it’s known) Nice dress, tender color and delicate finishing but nothing special. And if you want to wear a tiara remember that you can’t just put it on, it should always go with a nice hairstyle. So I really hope as US Champion Bradie will take a style advice from experienced people and prepare a fabulous princess-look for the Olympics.
Mariah Bell
I really like the simple cut of this dress, such silhouette suits Mariah a lot. The color combination is trendy and often used by lots of designers:

But despite fashionable color combination and minimum of finishing, dress looks a bit olds fashioned. I also don’t know what it has to do with West Side Story)
Angela Wang
Lovely dress! Simple cut, beautiful ombre and not much finishing. The dress looks good on the ice and helps to create nice feminine look.
Karen Chen
I love dresses with sleeves and this program really asked for sleeves and gloves to highlight the arms. I also like the asymmetrical cut and delicate hint on traditional “black and red” color combination for tango) There are a lot of finishing on the bodice, but it looks expensive and not too much.
Starr Andrews
What a fabulous look! Amazing sparkling dress was made to shine under the spotlights. And it got its big chance to shine) I love the collar on her neck and this bright accent on the side. Oh and don’t forget about perfectly matched nude illusion mesh!
Mirai Nagasu
It’s always a challenge to sew beautiful national costume, to make it comfortable for skating and not to get carried away by desire to make it look real and repeat all the details. Mirai and her designer cope with this task greatly. I absolutely love the silhouette, the design of the color and trendy translucent part. This dress combines fashion and national character. And by the way, Mirai looks amazing in red.

Ashley Wagner
I was wondering which dress Ashley will chose for her La La Land FP, blue, green, yellow or green. But Ashley surprised me by choosing light-rose Valentino dress which Emma Stone wore Golden Globes 2017 red carpet. Amazing dress! Gorgeous and sophisticated! Best look of the ladies’ free program.

Ok so personally I really don’t like either of Bradie’s dresses this season, they both look cheap and the illusion neck was not done properly at all. Also her hair needs to be more presentable! Even before her program her fly-aways were a mess. Strong skater, not the best dress game.
I also hoped that after winning the US title they will work with her a bit on packaging. You know, new dresses (perhaps by Vera Wong), new hairstyle and all such things. She’s young beautiful girl, it shouldn’t be hard to make her look like a princess. Unfortunately, they didn’t do any of that(
But I love Ashley’s reaction in the interview after her FS, just stating that she is furious not any it’s up to judges to decide.
Bradie, Ashley W, and Mariah all look great! Honorable mention to Angela.
I liked Angela’s dress, it’s very lovely. I’d gladly wear such dress)
So mad Ashley isn’t on the team!
I still don’t understand how she could lose in PCS……ok her tes wasn’t perfect, but PCS. It just doesn’t make any sense for me(
