“The program makes Valieva relive hell all over again? It is inappropriate for fans to write this.” Tarasova and Averbukh about Valieva’s free program
Ilia Averbukh and Tatiana Tarasova about Kamila Valieva’s free program dedicated to the Beijing Olympics.
Ilia Averbukh: Figure skating is a sport and an art, and creation of a program is part of an art, it does not require opinions. The creators have decided that they want to speak out about what excites them. It has always been like this: every artist speaks on the topic that excites him. I don’t think it’s up to us to decide who has the right to what.
The program seemed interesting enough to me, it corresponds to Kamila’s inner mood. It suits her. She grew up and matured, I think this is a new step of a mature program.
Tatiana Tarasova: The program make Valieva relive hell all over again? It is inappropriate for fans to write this.
Kamila trained hard, wanted to forget it. This is her favorite thing. She gave herself completely to it. She showed the cleanest skating. It is worth a lot,and I congratulate her.
