Shoma Uno announced his decision to retire from competetive sport, he posted on his Instagram:
“Hello everyone, This is Shoma Uno.
I have decided to retire from my active career as an athlete.
Thank you very much to everyone who has supported me as a competitor until today, and to everyone who has continued to support me.
Meeting skating at the age of 5 and being able to continue for 21 years, I am very grateful for the wonderful competitive life I have been able to have.
I will be holding a retirement press conference on May 14th, where I will talk about my feelings and future activities. The conference will be broadcast live on Toyota Times, and I would be pleased if you could watch it.
