Maxim Trankov: “We are the best in figure skating. The ban of Russian skaters from competitions harms the development of world figure skating.”
The ban of Russian figure skaters from international competitions harms, first of all, the development of world figure skating. This opinion was expressed by two-time Olympic champion Maxim Trankov.
Maxim Trankov: We are the best in figure skating. And, of course, depriving us of the opportunity to compete harms the development of world figure skating, not Russian. Everything will remain with us anyway: specialists, athletes, personnel, everything. And the world figure skating itself, it seems to me, is losing a lot with the absence of our athletes.
Trankov also noted that athletes need to continue training.
Maxim Trankov: We have always tried to be apolitical, to just do our job. Now, of course, a little depends on us in this regard. All that remains is to continue working and continue showing our superiority in this sport to the whole world.
