Inna Goncharenko: Personally, my main impression of the event is Zhenya, of course. It was a performance. Finally, a cohesive skate turned out. At previous competitions, she tried to prove something, there was some kind of anguish, then fear, then something else, and now she was performing. It seemed to me that her internal state was calm so you could really see her free program. It became inspiring and meaningful. I liked it very much.
Interesting, but Zhenya did nothing special. Just did what she was capable of right now, and did qualitatively. At the moment, she does not need a quadruple jump, no need to rush and spread herself. Let her perform like she did in Moscow, and everyone will be happy – both fans and specialists. Because it is a high-quality, balanced ladies single skating.
Medvedeva was good at the competitions in Moscow and should develop in this direction. Let’s add even more emotionality, speed. She can add a little everywhere, but she should keep the discipline that we saw in Moscow. In my opinion, Medvedeva showed the best performance among all participants. The most memorable.
Trusova – the overall winner. During the performance, she was focused on quads, plus she made two mistakes. Well, what can you do if a person fails, albeit part of a difficult content? It spoils the impression.
At the Grand Prix in China, I liked Satoko Miyahara, it’s a pity that she apparently did not cope with acclimatization and did not skate well in Moscow. But I like her programs. Another pleasant impression was made by the American Mariah Bell. It was a real celebration of ladies’ single skating.

The ISU definitely needs to change something, otherwise we will loose all the great skaters, and only jump’s competition will remain
They are thousands of viewer. Who could not understand why Medvedeva come 2nd..maybe figure skating should be split into event one the old fashion of figures skating with beautifull skating interpretation performance and beautifull spin spirals and a few jumps …and the other just pure jump competition without music ..because music 9 out of 10 is only been used has background music …
I think ISU will have to think of some changes in figure skating competitions, because the current format becomes less and less understandable for viewers and as it follows less popular and less profitable.
