Evgenia Medvedeva: “Do I miss my sports career? Well, you know that feeling when you stand on the podium, flushed with your victory… No, I don’t miss it.”
Evgenia Medvedeva about whether she missed competitions, her records and eating disorders.
You are currently very active in the media space, but we know you primarily as a figure skater. Do you miss your sports career?
Evgenia Medvedeva: Should I answer beautifully or honestly?
Let’s go with both, beautifully and honestly.
Evgenia Medvedeva: Well, you know that feeling when you stand on the podium, flushed with your victory… No, I don’t miss it.
Surprising. You don’t miss it?
Evgenia Medvedeva: So far, I haven’t felt that way. I think I’ve spent my time on the podium, and now I’m developing in other areas of life. I really like it.
You have set many records at the World Championships. Are there any that remain in the history of world figure skating?
Evgenia Medvedeva: Yes, there are such records. It’s the total score, and as far as I remember, the free skate. It was at the World Team Trophy (in 2017 – ed). I did great there. It was a long time ago.

How much does an Olympic medal weigh?
Evgenia Medvedeva: 600 grams.
How are things with drinking water? Any changes?
Evgenia Medvedeva: By the way! There are changes, and significant ones! I realized why I don’t like water with lemon. Because I don’t like lemon. I like lime, and water with lime is just delightful. I manage to drink three glass bottles of 0.5 liters each per day.
P.S. Don’t drink water from plastic, it’s very bad for your health.
Zhenya, are you growing your hair for the ‘Carmen’ show? I’m really looking forward to seeing you in that look.
Evgenia Medvedeva: No, I’m growing my hair because I’m growing my hair.
Tell me, are you on a diet, like not eating after 6:00 PM?
Evgenia Medvedeva: In general, not eating after 6:00 PM is right, not just for a figure but rather for health. But with my current show schedule, I can’t do that. The shows only end at 9:00 PM.
Please tell us how you take care of your hair.
Evgenia Medvedeva: Shampoo twice. A hair mask twice a week (leave it on longer than instructed). Conditioner every day (leave it on longer than instructed). And don’t forget to towel dry your hair before using masks and conditioners, as it’s otherwise pointless.
Do you have an eating disorder?
Evgenia Medvedeva: In such situations, the most important thing is to confidently say, ‘Yes, there was.’ But now, no, now everything is okay, I’m doing well.
