The ice show of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko “Union of Champions” received a grant of 50 million rubles from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
Project type – “Support for groups and cultural figures who have become objects of sanctions pressure for their patriotism and devotion to the country.”
“The unique cultural and sports spectacular ice show “Union of Champions” by Evgeni Plushenko is a bright event that brings together legendary and outstanding athletes and artists.
The project is aimed at broadcasting the cultural code, developing and popularizing sports, is social in nature and has a pronounced patriotic character. On the example of the project participants – figure skaters who have gone through many trials, the audience of the show will be saturated with the spirit of patriotism, pride for Russia and our talented athletes.
The support of the project will allow holding 7 shows with the participation of famous athletes in 7 different cities of Russia, and will also support the team of show creators, artists, athletes, contractors in the regions that suffered during the pandemic, as well as due to sanctions pressure (ban on performances at foreign venues).”
