Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: “If I make a program with one quadruple, It will be a great victory over myself”
Elizaveta Tuktamysheva about the difficulties in studying quadruple jumps.
Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: I will be happy if I make a program with one quadruple. It will be a great victory over myself. I think it will be toe loop. Lutz is possible, but I don’t understand how to do it yet. It takes courage to grasp it all.
Why is it scary and difficult? Everything is like in life. As a child, you are not afraid of anything – you ride a bike, jump from a roof, you have fun, you don’t think about the possible consequences.
The older you get – probably, this is also due to the natural development of a woman, when you already need to have children, in fact – you are no longer so actively involved in all these adventures.
You seem to want it, but it seems scary already. And you think – no, I’d rather take care of myself. The same mechanism plays on the ice. You’ve been doing the same thing for 15 years, but now you have an idea that it could be a hard fall, an injury, or something else.
Plus, this is a completely new sensation, and every time you need to overcome, look for courage to do it. When you are a child, it is much easier. You were told – you go and do, you are even interested.
I look at the young boys who skate with us – they have such falls! But they don’t care. They go and do it anyway, rotate into some kind of abyss.
I can not. I need to clearly know what I need to do and be sure that nothing will happen to me.
