Anastasia Gubanova: “I’m very pleased with my skating, that I was able to finish the season on such a high note. I’m shocked! I’ve never had such a busy season.”
Anastasia Gubanova who now represents Georgia summed up the results of the 2021/2022 season, which she finished with a sixth place at the World Championships in Montpellier.
Anastasia Gubanova: I am very pleased with my skating, I am glad that I was able to finish the season on such a high note, emotions are overwhelming. I’m shocked! I have never had such a busy season, I got so many new happy emotions this season, I am very proud of what I did, how I overcame difficulties. Many thanks to the Georgian federation for all this, I would not have been able to participate in such competitions without them.
I was with the Georgian team in Bergamo for two weeks, many thanks to the Italians for having us there. My coach Evgeni Rukavitsyn could not come, it was a little hard, but I sent him videos. There is such a situation that we need to adapt.
What’s next? I’ll be back in St. Petersburg, and maybe I’ll have a few days off. Then we will work on new programs. I think we will change both programs. I plan to compete in the next Olympic cycle. I really want to learn how to jump quads. I tried, but so far it haven’t turned out well yet, I also want to jump a triple loop and work on the elements that I have.
