Silver medalist of the 2022 Olympics in figure skating, Alexandra Trusova, has no plans to participate in competitions during the upcoming season.
According to information from “Sport Express” (“SE”), Trusova has reduced her training activity after her tours in Beijing. The skater also had previously expressed doubts about continuing her career. Some of the reasons behind her decision include the absence of international competitions and consequently the lack of motivation, controversial judging at Russian competitions, her health condition, and her involvement in shows.
It is noted that there are currently no indications of any factors that would change Trusova’s decision.
Additionally, TASS reports that the athlete will miss the Russian national team’s test skates in Moscow on September 16th and 17th.
Figure skater Alexandra Trusova was contemplating retirement as early as spring.
