“After the Olympics, I wanted to show that I can perform better.” Loena Hendrickx about the short program at Worlds
Belgian figure skater Loena Hendrickx, who became second in the short program at the World Championships, commented on her performance.
Loena Hendrickx: I’m very pleased with my performance today. I felt very confident on the ice, my jumps were at their best. Although due to an injury I’m mot in the best shape … I performed as well as I could, and I’m satisfied with everything that I did today. After the Olympics, I wanted to show that I can perform better, and I’m glad that I succeeded. I try to be strong, not to think about the injury and have fun.
Due to a groin injury, I trained only 4 days before the World Championships, and on the last day I also injured my ankle, which was seriously injured two years ago.
I was preparing very smartly for the competitions, trying to make the most of it and at the same time save my strength in order to perform well today.
Kaori Sakamoto: “Since there are no Russian skaters here, they suddenly began to consider me a contender for a gold medal.”
