The duet scored 90.74 points – this is only 1.99 less than the world record, which belongs to the French Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron.
Khudaiberdieva and Bazin got 53.1a6 for the technique – the same mark as the French for their record performance.
Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva: We were surprised. I need to work on the face, because you also need to learn how to react.
It’s cool that we have made such progress compared to previous competitions. The scores are cool. But we still need to work harder and so on.
We worked a lot on the technical component, worked on the elements a lot, cleaned them up. We practiced so that each of my arms literally had the same angle as Egor’s arms.
The whole team worked with us. We talked after the last competitions, drew conclusions, and worked hard these three weeks.
