Evgenia: I really missed the positive emotions after skating. Today I had a mindset to skate well no matter what. I told myself: “I will not leave this scene in tears. I’m tired of it. How many times has such happened this season? Six? I felt frustrated. My coaches also were tired of it. Yes, today I went to the ice to overcome myself, my fears. I’m pleased that I skated without big mistakes. There were small mistakes, but as Jason Brown says, when he comforts me, step by step. So today I took another step forward. As for the audience, the viewers add positive energy. Any skater performs in Japan with pleasure. We feel at home here. As soon as you step on the ice, you get an ovation. The public doesn’t expect anything, it just enjoys figure skating. Viewers don’t follow the show. They just enjoy the most beautiful sport on our planet – figure skating … I work on myself, my mind has changed, I try to be positive. I don’t have that scary look now, I behave more calmly.
