Fournier Beaudry / Sorensen showed new dances

Laurence Fournier Beaudry / Nikolaj Sorensen showed their dances for season 2016-2017 at Quebec Summer Championships.

Lovely dance…..but nothing special. It’s not a memorable one, I wish they have done something more sensual and mature, because they are able to. But their pattern has a potential and looks better that Gilles / Poirier’s, because the Danish team has softer skating, better work of the knee and better lines. But at this moment the dance looks a bit heavy, they definately need to add more freedom to their skating. I also like the blue-pink combination for her dress)

This dance reminds me a lot of their last year’s fd. And it’s not just because of old costumes. The style, the choreo, even some transiton and second lift…..And only I got a bit tired of Dubreuil / Lauzon’s style that they tried to use for each their pair? Interesting entry into the first lift, but in general nothing impressive( Too bad…..I like this team and hope for a breakthrough.
