Yuma Kagiyama commented on the 2026 Olympics during the training camp organized by the Japan Skating Federation in Italy. Here’s a translation of his comments.

Kagiyama vowed to win a gold medal at the Milan Olympics. At the 2022 Beijing Olympics, he secured silver medals in both individual and team events, and participated in a medal ceremony in Paris on the 7th of this month. He exchanged words with team members, saying “Next time, we want to go for gold,” and added, “It made me strongly want to aim for gold again.”

He is also enthusiastic about his first competition of the season, the Lombardia Trophy (Italy) in September, stating, “I want to work hard to fully master the quad jumps.”
