“Many children are asked, ‘Do you want to become an Olympic champion?’ And they answer, ‘Yes.’ I remember when I was asked the same question, I said ‘yes,’ but only because that’s how everyone responded.
In reality, I wasn’t burning with that goal. I get immense pleasure from skating, from performing, from shows. I think figure skating is my life, and I can’t do without the ice. But I never set a specific goal for myself to win something.
However, now, after all these moments, there are changes. To walk this path, to enjoy it, to take pleasure in the process. But, of course, if there’s an opportunity – to skate at the Olympics in Milan again,” Kondratiuk said.
