"Schindler's list"

Julia Lipnitskaya performed at gala-evening dedicated to 20th anniversary of the Russian Jewish Congress.

Julia performed her most famous program “Schindler’s list”, but without skates and not on the ice. Lipnitskaya performed on the stage of the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, where the event took place.

Beautiful with out skates. She could have been a ballerina. I will not comment on anything skating related out of respect for this organization. Anything related to Schindler’s List or the war must not be forgotten.

I agree that the war was horrible and should never be forgotten. People must live in peace to avoid things like this happening ever again.

In response to your thoughts on her being a ballerina, I think that would be a good idea. She can’t jump well anymore but is a beautiful dancer, and she could put that talent to good use in a Russian ballet company.

She may not have the jumps anymore, but she’s still Russia’s darling.

I was always more of a Sotnikova fan because she really skates with passion, even if the jumps aren’t there. Lipnitskaya was this mysterious little girl with what seemed like a dark story. But I really liked her fast spins, and thought “Ok maybe this girl is not bad.”

Now we don’t hear a thing about Sotnikova or Lipnitskaya. It’s “Medvedeva, Medvedeva, Medvedeva.” I wish both Sotnikova and Lipnitskaya (and Tuktamysheva while we’re at it) had a chance to come back and show how they’ve matured, but it seems like it’s going to be all about Medvedeva, Sotskova, and either Pogorilaya or Radionova.
